CUI is Canada>s applied urban policy institute. CUI was established in 1990 and is headquartered in Toronto. Our mandate is: We build wisdom to inspire leadership for healthy urban communities. Broadly, CUI>s activities involve generating connections, understanding and inspiration towards decisions that sustain thriving, resilient communities. We do this by providing: ï‚· Research: global practices and outcomes in urban leadership. ï‚· Analysis: trends and relationships in data and ideas. ï‚· Communication: convert concepts and opportunities incorporating the results of the research and analysis into engaging learning and inspiration. ï‚· Consultation: stakeholder collaboration and community engagement. The areas of work include economic and cultural development, infrastructure investment planning, asset mapping, education/capacity building and engagement consulting. We usually work in partnership with members of our extensive networks in the private, public, academic and civil society
