WRA Landscape Restoration is a licensed contracting business. We specialize in sustainable landscaping, ecological restoration, and open land management solutions in California. We have experience working in sensitive habitats that support a variety of special status species to restore native landscapes. We work closely with our clients and project stakeholders to install, maintain, and monitor restoration projects to ensure attainment of habitat and regulatory goals.

WRA Landscape Restoration is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we are looking for a Crew Supervisor to join our hardworking and joyful team.
The objective of the Landscape Restoration Crew Supervisor is to coordinate and perform landscape construction and maintenance, while supervising and working alongside Restoration Technicians to complete projects as specified by our clients.
The core areas of responsibilities will include:
(1) Providing leadership, support, and care for our Restoration Technicians focusing on team wellbeing and cohesion.
(2) Providing on the ground training in day-to-day activities and coordinating work schedules with other project managers and regional field crews.
(3) Organizing and scheduling field equipment and materials while assisting with environmental monitoring/mapping using GPS and GIS based tools.
The field work component of this position is physically demanding year round. Candidates must be willing to work outdoors in wild, rough, and remote conditions. Steep slopes, poison oak, and stinging insects are common on most job sites. Some weekend and overtime work will be required.
Specific Job Requirements:
Experience in landscape construction/maintenance, natural resources management, forestry, or agriculture fields.
Experience managing people
Ability to identify native and non-native plant species in the San Francisco Bay Area
Understands OSHA safety regulations
A California driver's license and the ability to operate large trucks and heavy equipment
Must be able to consistently lift more than 50 pounds
High school diploma
Management tasks include:
Supervise and direct field personnel including establishing schedules and work assignments.
Maintain time record management to track task budgets, work performed and project progress documentation.
Prepare memos and emails to clients and project managers.
Report pesticide use to registered counties, and enforce OSHA safety regulations, safety orders, and supervision of jobsite PPE.
Conduct job site safety analysis and record regular tailgate safety meetings.
Field duties include:
Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial, and public properties such as facilities, parks and open spaces.
Evaluate plant health care and vigor and apply corrective pruning, fertilizer, and pest control.
Control invasive plants and animals with exclusion fencing, traps, and pesticides.
Utilize advanced technical skills when working in specialized environments such as active construction sites, wetlands, endangered species habitat, steep slopes, and backcountry landscapes.
Daily tasks may include:
Loading and unloading trucks and other conveyances, moving materials with wheelbarrow/cart around job site
Digging, filling and leveling earth excavations
Planting grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; pruning, mowing and hedging landscape plants, watering landscaped areas during dry summer periods
Pickup/removal of greenwaste and other debris
Assist with repairing fences, roads/trails and landscaping mechanical equipment
The use of hand and mechanical tools such as digging and pruning hand tools, mechanical hedgers, saws, mowers and drills, wheelbarrow/hand carts and water pumps
Repairing tools as necessary
